_ artist - medicine man - native spiritual counselor
J. Spencer Rowe has spent over 30 years of his life gathering knowledge and sacred experiences in the healing arts. He is a mediator between this world and the spirit world. Spirit almost always chooses medicine people when they are children. This knowledge gathering required sacrifice, travel and living without succumbing to materialism and ownership. These are requirements of humility of the truly historical training traditions of the Indigenous Shaman or Medicine Man. During such extensive training one cannot fully participate and personally benefit materially from the dominant western culture as it is an offense to the ancestors. Love cannot be expressed without self-sacrifice, humility and surrender.
Mr. Rowe is an Indigenous Ojibwa Indian. He has been called upon and has traveled extensively across Turtle Island (North America) to serve, learn and to engage in the sacred ceremonies and rituals. He has been summoned and flown across Turtle Island by Norval Morrisseau -Copper Thunderbird - Artist and The Grand Shaman of the Ojibwa, where he was taught of spiritual communication and spirit travel. He has been summoned to help, learn and to engage in the sacred ritual of guiding those who have passed into the spirit world, in Minnesota, by Ojibwa Elder and Medicine Man, Obisan ni gishig -Quiet Sky -. He has also been taught and honoured by the Coast Salish, in British Columbia, under the tutelage of Elder and Medicine Man Kasalid -He who Walks Among the Clouds - to learn spiritual medicine, among many other teachings and travels across Turtle Island as far north as the Arctic. Mr. Rowe has been granted permission from his Elders, Medicine Men, Healers and Counselors to now share and utilize his extraordinary and extensive knowledge and abilities to help all peoples. Mr. Rowe's spirit name is - He who is Quiet -.
